The "97 Ford F-350 I bought had a faint, but distinctive odor from prior owner smoking in the truck.
One or more of you gentlemen suggested an ozone generator. I bought a small one off Ebay that is designed to remove odors from a refrigerator and put it in the truck. I think it cost me around $10.00.
Its been in the truck for about a week now and seems to be working well. Virtually no odor. I plan on leaving it in the truck for the next couple of weeks, then taking it out to see if the odor returns.
