Howdy, I recently posted a problem with the electrical charging system of my restored CA, and had several responses. Thank you who responded, but I still have problems. Everything is back to original, and all components are either new or rebuilt. I have three wires on the positive side of the ammeter, and one on the negative side. I have the red wire from the cutout on the generator, labeled Bat., to the positive side of the ammeter, also a wire from the ignition switch to the positive side of the ammeter, and a third wire from the positive side of the ammeter to the 20 amp fuse on the original light switch. The negative side of the ammeter has only one black wire that goes to the starter. The battery is positive ground. One black wire in the harness goes from the arm post on the gen to the R term on the light switch. Another black wire goes from the ignition switch to the negative side of the coil. A jumper wire goes from the positive side of the coil to the dist. A wire goes from the S terminal on the light switch to the headlight junction. Starter cable goes to negative side of 6 volt battery. There is also a jumper wire from the Gen term of the cutout to the Arm term on the Gen. When the tractor is wired this way, I can pull out on the light switch to the first position, and the ammeter goes to about 3, but when I pull it all the way out, the needle pegs in the positive direction and the points on the cutout stay stuck, and I separate them with a screwdriver. I think the points stick whether I pull the switch to the second or third position, tractor running or not, and I have to unstick them when I cut it off. If I reverse the three wires from the positive pole of the ammeter to the negative side, and put the starter wire on the positive side, the needle does the same thing, just to the negative side, and still sticks. Each time I have tried this, I have remounted the switch housing to the frame to provide the ground. Does anyone have any idea what I need to do to correct this problem? Thanks, Lynn Bowles Rome, Ga.

Today's Featured Article - Search For Spares - by Anthony West (UK). Following on from the aquisition of the old Fordson F, I was very much in need of spares. As a novice though I didn't appreciate the fact that there were so many Fordson tractors made, that all the other makes seem rare by comparison. As far as I was aware a fordson was a fordson and it was only through trial an
