I agree with most of the other posts. The NFE was really a special purpose machine. The end of mounted cornpickers and cultivators, plus power steering, ended the usefullness. And did you ever try to drive one in really soft ground? The wheels become a plow, and the mud just piles up in front of them until you can't go anymore. Another thing is badly rutted roads, the front end slides off the center from one side to the other. I still have three NFE's one M and two C's. I like them for mowing,Sickle mower, and raking on small fields, because of their maneuverability, but if I had started out with a modern short wheelbase tractor with power steering I probably wouldn't know the difference.
