In the TS store where we shop, we spotted a water pump that ran off the pto that was out of the box and looked like it had been returned. We asked the manager about it and he said a customer had returned it saying it didn't work. We asked what he would take for it and bought it for half price. Manager even said we could bring it back if it didn't work. Took it home and it works fine.
Give it a try. Just remember to support the box with boards between the bottom of the box and the bed of your pick up. If you don't, it will break at the corners where it hangs on the side of the pick up bed.
