Don't have one near here, but the consensus seems to be that they've gone yuppie on us. Saw a commercial on the Country Music Channel that sure supports that view. Showed one real tractor (an IH, looked like a 1206) and a ton of yuppie SUV's in the parking lot. Has to do with the customer base. Watched a documentary on A&E last night about Ruthton, MN. It was about a double murder in a small farming community during the farm crisis in the early 80's. The point being, where there used to be a farm on every 120 or 180 acres, now a typical farm is more like 1000-2000 acres. So where you have 1 family farming 1000 acres, you have replaced 7 or 8 families that farmed smaller holdings. As a result, you have cut the typical customer base for a truly farm oriented store by 80%. I don't like it either, but they're just trying to survive, and besides, yuppies have more disposable income.
