I've got a '79 chevy 1/2 ton pickup with the original 350 diesel in it. The odometer quit at 155,000 miles and i'm guessing it must have close to 180,000 on it by now. The key was block heaters in the winter and letting it warm up before taking off. Oh and don't treat it like a 1 ton super duty power stroke, they were just grocery getters. :-)
