Get a length of rubber fuel line and stick the end in a fresh gallon of gas and attach the other end to the inlet side of the pump.
Detach the line into the carb and stick it in a 2 litre plastic soda bottle. Disconnect and ground the output wire from the coil to distributor (you do not want any sparks for this) and have someone crank the engine. You should see a strong pulsing into the soda bottle.
If you do not, replace the pump. If there is gas coming out, take a pin and stick it in the hole where the line connects to the carb.
I am unsure of the float needle configuration of your carb, but this works with many carbs as the needle valve is just inside that hole. You may be able to break the varnish seal on the needle and get it to allow the gas into the carb bowl.
I have done this on quite a few different carbs.
