Woodchucks are tough to kill, particularly the big ones. Full-power loads in my .22-250 would turn any woodchuck inside-out, but I have too many neighbors who would be disturbed by the racket. I handload the .22-250 down to about 2000 fps, which makes for a very accurate but not very lethal load. Head shots are a must for clean kills.
