varmint hunting myself, skunks. a pack moved into a scope of woods next to my hay field and come out every evening at dusk to feed. killed 5 in 1 evening. can a skunk play possum? went back the next morning to bury and only found 2, the others had disappeared. sure they were dead as i shot them multiple times after they were down. any way there were none last night at dusk when i went down there. i hunted them off of my tractor as they paid no attention to it when it neared them. i used a 22 pistol with long rifle hollow points. nice cat, my wife loves them, i tolerate them.
