My dad was a dealer back in the 1960"s up to the late 70"s and we were at every sale since i was 8 yers old at Y&F.I"m 59 now an haven"t been there in 3 or 4 years.It"s hard to keep a consignment auction going.They had a jocky from illinois bringing a lot of stuff in,but he started his own sale.The canadian stuff then took over,but it"s mostly ruff stuff they can"t sell at home either.Haun from canada always brought several semi loads to greens.Dick always bought like crazy to keep the lot full.Dick ran a lot of his best buyers off buy jacking every dollar he could get and stabbing people in the back to make a buck.He would bid against you at a farm auction then expect you to buy at his sale.I"ve seen him and his boy cursing many people over the years.Since he left i don"t see much difference he still tells the auctioneers what to do and what to sell.It"s still a pretty grumpy place,even the auctioneers are nasty sometimes to the crowd.
