In regards to cutting hay. I never listen to the dope standing in front of the weather map. They will only give you their best guess which pretty much means they don't know.
When I am ready to cut hay I go in the house and log onto the nation weather sat. If there is any rain heading my way and I think it will hit me (in my own opinion) I hold off. If I think it will miss I cut.
That way if my hay gets wet it's my own dern fault. I rarely get hay rained on so I must be a pretty good weather man....
