dating farmall tractor

I bought a farmall tractor from a fellow the other day.It has sat in the fence line for years,there is no serial number tag on it,the four rivets are there but nothing else.I,am wondering if anyone knows any other way to find out the model and year of this tractor.I do know it is an H or M model.Any info would be greatly appreciated.Tnanks
