Do you have a book for it? Have you tried adjusting the feed forks to more or less material into the bale chamber? Have you tried different ground speeds to feed heavier or lighter? I don't think the resistor plates would make the bales crooked. I think you are feeding heavier on one side of the chamber and need to change the length of stroke of the feed forks.
