ya'll ain't gonna believe this, but i used to work with a fellow that would reach up or get on a ladder and with NO protective gear or spray, would actually hand pick the nest off while there were wasp on it. the wasps looked ready to fly but did not and he would remove the nest gently and put on the ground and crush it. never got stung that i ever knew of and he done many while we were on the job together. amazing, or he had nerves of steel or maybe just crazy. i sure would not try it. the further away i am from wasps, the better. believe it or not!
