Why would they? was the shop responsible for the accident? are they responsible for everthing that goes wrong with the car after the accident? Have it diagnosed and go from there, could be an aditional that should be charged to the insurance. Why would you tell them it worked before unless you are trying to make them pay for something that isn"t their responsability? From the sounds of the post they didn"t know if it worked right after or if it is a new failure.
