Was filling in at the Intermediate school's auto shop the other day. Had a faculty car in with several problems. A Cadillac, Northstar if I remember correctly. One was oil levels. We got on the horn to a Caddy dealer in a larger metropolitan area, They told us that Caddy put the wrong dipstick in a bunch of them. Rather than recall and replace them, Caddy just sent out a memo to dealers that when oil was at the tip (bottom) of the dipstick, level was OK.
No wonder it was spitting oil over when we filled it to the dipstick hash marks!
