: I'm having trouble figuring out which manuals I
: need to maintain my IH TD6 orchard seat crawler.
: Is a T6 the same as the TD6? Where's the best
: place to get manuals for this machine?
: Also, can't get the starter motor to start. The
: oil-cooled solenoid is leaking and the gasket on
: the fuel bowl is shot. How do I know if I need
: to replace the solenoid? Where is the best place
: to get these parts?
: Is there any hope to ever add a blade to this TD6?
: Any help would be greatly appreciated.
: place I can get these parts

The TD 6 was a diesel powered crawler. The models prior to the late fifties had a four cylinder diesel engine with a dual chamber cylinder head and were started on gasoline and then switched over to diesel. After the
D282 six cylinder diesel engine came out in the late fifties, I believe about 58, this engine was used in the TD 6. It was started on diesel with the help of glow plugs. The T 6 was a gasoline powered crawler with a four cylinder engine. It could be ordered for gasoline or for distillate fuel in its earlier days. If it was equipped for distillate, it was started on gasoline and then switched over after it warmed up. Other than the fuel choice, the rest of the crawler was basicly the same.
