A friend of mine has a 1206 that he uses as a seeding tractor. Last summer, he lost his power steering (wheel just spun around like a top), then his brakes didn't work, and his power booster (or whatever it's called) started to fail. A mechanic at a parts yard told him to change the big filter that is located behind a plate in front of the right (driver's right) side rear axel. We changed it and everything worked great. Now, I know it's not the same problem as yours but just thought I'd pass the story on.
