You get paid well but can't afford health care? You are contradicting yourself. If you get paid well and don't have health care you simple have chosen not to have health care and you spent your money on something other than health care. If you chose to work at a job that does provide health care or want to spend your pay on something other than health care that's your choice. Good for you. But if you want the government to step in and pay for your health care you are really asking the rest of us to foot the bill that you chose not pay. You must realize someone will have to pay for in some way. Certainly you can see why some folks may be adamantly opposed to that. Especially the one that have worked hard for what they have but still did the responsible thing of giving up extra spending money so they can have health care.
