I'd leased tractors for several years, my first actual purchase was at an auction. I was there to buy a 165 MF and someone brought this little 560 Long tractor in as an addition. Money was tight, I was 19, had just bought a farm and was swimming in debt but I needed a tractor, cheap.
The Long had a new engine but the 3pt didnt work. The Massey brought more than I was willing to pay but the Long didnt bring the 1000 reserve. So, it came home with me. I used it 3 years, put a tire, water pump, and flushed the hydraulic system (that fixed the 3pt). Sold it for 4x my money. Figure it was a good deal.
