Well Allan.I didn't get any rain on my hay but I know what you mean about the underside being green. I got into a timothy field with a lot of clover and it comes out of the haybine like a pile of wet salad..had to work the heck out of it to get it dry. I run the tail of the rake on the swath and after some experience you get good at flipping the swath,wet side up, then have to come back and flip two swaths into one when its dry..I spent a lot of time on the tractor and rake yesterday but by nightfall it was ready to bale..oh..and I had to hire someone to bale with two balers sitting in the shed. The customer wants the "big" rounds rather tha 4x5's,I didn't want to do small squares for horsey customers so I hired a neighbour to roll big ones for me. Good luck with the haying!
