Hey Guru. here in Virginia we get a safety inspection every year. You can't drive anything without a sticker. They check at least one front and one rear each time. I make it a point to ask how the brakes look every time. Why replace them if they are NOT worn out. The shops that do the inspections don't make much on the inspection, but it is a great way for them to get repair work. They will NOT let worn brakes slide. (no pun intended)
