Anyone have experience using scare crows to ward away deers? I have 45 acre field of soybeans the deer (about 10) have nibbled down bad. When my seed salesman told me to put up a scarecrow I just laughed. I got a permit to kill 5 female deers & the DNR guy sent me instructions for a cheap scarecrow. I made two and they do seem to have an effect. The DNR said the scarecrows need to be moved every few days. I have taken one deer down. Last night I saw only two deer and they went running when they saw my truck. Since I am about an hour away from this field I am trying the scarecrows. It seems funny but they might be working. Of course knocking off one of their buddies probably helped.
