I went and looked at the tractor. My wife's Aunt and her brother cleaned all the brush and weeds out for me. I took some pics and I'll have them tomorrow. From looking at pics, it's a farmall from in the 30's. I have to find the data plate when I get it home. I grew up in the city, but spent weekend camping in the country. Last year I moved to a rural part of my state with farms in the area. I now have 3 acres. I always loved old tractors as well as 50's cars (I have 3 of them) and I love restoring stuff. My wife's aunt had 5 boys and unbelieveably none of them ever had any interest in the tractor. To me, tractors are like a family heirloom. I would like to eventaully do a restoration on it. My wife's aunt has very little money and she needs a bunch of junk picked up. So I told her that my friend has a dump truck and he'll take the stuff to the dump for a dump fee of $55. She wants to pay the dump fee and give me the tractor for free. I told her I was picking up the garbage and paying the fees. I feel honored to get the tractor. She just thinks it's an old piece of junk and is happy to get rid of it. I think it's a great addition to my family. I'm not sure what is available for it, but eventually I'll find out.
On the property I found and square metal flat assembly with rows of spikes coming out, kind of like railroad spikes. Maybe this is a cultivator ?
there are 2 sets of discs. And some other attachment. It gets pulled by the tractor, has metal wheels and two funnel type attachemnts. It ahd some rods between the wheels and gears with chains attached to them. Aunt said something about using it for corn.
