I've never heard them refered to as hand tractors or walking tractors as here we always called them Garden Tractors,regardless, you have a unique machine as it represents a worldwide involvement of much magnitude. The frame was Mfg.in China,engine ,wheels tires etc come from many mfg's in many countries includiung the USA.Your machine apparently was imported and distributed by a Mfg's. Rep. named White. These machines would be distributed to different marketers who in turn put their name on them before they were sold to the public.Many after Market Mfg's made Tools for use with these Machines.The simple and readily repaired nature of these machines made them a great benefit to relief origanizations who gave them to impoverished peoples of the world to help stave off starvation as they could increase food production in their areas.

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
