Wayne I totally agree with you. I have seen head gaskets eaten up & heads & blocks etched deep enough that they had to be milled & even cylinder liner "O" ring grooves completly eaten away in spots because of acidic anti-freeze. There is a new "Long Life" anti-freeze out now that can be left in longer & we have shown in our long term durability tests that this new anti-freeze works good in the modern automobile (100,000 miles recomended between changes). I can't say how long it will hold up in old tractors that don't reach the same operating temps, tend to leak some combustion gases into the coolant & don't have pressure cooling systems.
