I guess the economy isn't in such a dire condition around here. Granted the price of horses isn't what it was a couple years ago but so far they aren't regarded as excess baggage. Visit Iowa's Gold Star Futurity if you don't believe that. Even at our local Waverly horse sale which is known nation wide is still moving horses at a regular rate though like I said the prices are down some. Like "Spotted Horse" said -GOOD- horses still bring good money. Range or field horses might not bring as much. Old brood mares are glue in any economy. ...Randy
