Can't say how many for sure, never been knocked out, but have been a mechanic for thirty plus years and have run into the hoist or rear end pumpkin more times than I care to remember, have seen the white flash a few dozen times though, pretty good sign you took a heck of a whack. Also took a baseball bat to the head a couple times as a kid, kinda sounds like a coconut falling on the concrete. Fortunately no permanent damage that I am aware of.
