They should have liability insurance to cover themselves so you have a claim against them for allowing their livestock to stray and damage your property. If they dont have insurance then the claim is against them personally. In this state, you are liable for any damages your livestock cause, the first time they get out. The second time you still have the civil liability but also the criminal liablility of allowing livestock to roam at large.
