Jim, unless you have X-ray eyes you will probably have to split the tractor to see what is going on in there. Not a real bad job on an M. Just split it at the bellhousing to engine. If it is a wide ft. end then it is easy, if it is a narrow then you will probably have to bolt a piece of steel or pipe accross the ft. to keep it from tipping, if it is a wide drive wood blocks between the axle & tractor to keep from tipping even a little. Once the front is stable & blocked up just put a floor jack under the trans housing & roll the rear half out the back.
