Don't believe the obsolete hog-wash.It is a fine motor with all parts easly available.I have a 1972 that has been used very hard in sand which has required several parts.It is simple to change anything including gears if nessary.Listen to BO ,what he is telling you is spot on for disassembly.BTW the 9.9 is the same engine with a different carb and timing that revs more rpms,all parts interchange.Change that rubber pump impeller while you are in there.
