You'll learn to live with it. A CV carb works like the secondaries on a typical four-barrel carb: The slide opens just enough to supply the volume of air-fuel mixture that's required. By replacing it with a non-CV carb, it's like replacing a quadrajet with a Holley double-pumper, then disabling both accelerator pumps. You're not going to get the smooth response you had with the old CV carb.
