PLEASE, PLEASE do not weld on anything that has a flammable substance in it. if u have to, then remove the entire oil pan and get the plug out and then weld on it if u have to......NOT while the pan is on the engine. even if the oil is drained there is still some small amount in the pan and it CAN IGNITE. think safety first.
