Pretty amazing what some people let out of their shop. Nothing ever left the shop I delt with for 30 years dirty. everything was hot tanked and glass beaded and where prudent painted. Main reason was so the part could be given at least a good visual inspection for cracks or other damage prior to machine work commencing. If there was a question, the customer was first called and authorization was received before proceeding. I'd be real concerned about a shop that cannot take the time to properly clean a part.
