Fuel Bowl!!!

Hello,, I have a 41 JD B who has a leaky fuel bowl assembly. I took it apart to clean it and put the bowl back together the same way it came apart and cannot get that darn thing to quit leaking. It takes about 3 hours for evidence of the leak to appear. There was no leak before but now there is around the lip of the bowl itself. I have tried a new gasket but it doesn't seem to help.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
