Remove the screws and washers from the terminal bars on the regulator and wire brush or sand the top of the bars untill they are shiny. The top of the terminal bars should be stamped with bat which you connect to the wire that goes to the amp guage F or FLD which goes to the generator F terminal A or ARM which goes to the generator A terminal
