Along similar lines you might think about attending McPherson (Kansas) College auto restoration program.
Learning how to make parts and restore others would be of great benefit for tractors as well as autos.

Whatever you do have fun. The old stuff is a lot more enjoyable to work on than the new and will cost less for insurance purposes and for taxes. Yes, learn to drive old stuff besides tractors.
