Before I bought the Farmall A, the widow let it set for over a year. I took out the starter and the slip gear on the shaft was real dry ... no oil for a long time. The gear wasn't sliding forward and engaging. I cleaned it up and lubed it. With a new battery it fired right up. Good news!!
I drove it around for a while and now there's a "clunk" in the right rear wheel. Once per revolution in the same spot. It's more pronounced when going up a grade. I guess it's always somthin' Is it probably a bearing?
