I have to agree with Kent and Dean about Optima batteries. Have use them for seven years with no failures. The local soil tester guy who uses an electric soil probe mounted on his pickup says the Optima battery is the only one he has found that will stand this continuous high amp charge/discharge use.
Last winter I got a spiral cell battery from Exide which looks to be a carbon copy of the Optima, it's only a few months old so don't know how well it will stand up.
