No rope seals on an Allis CA. The front seal will be a lip seal if that is where the leak is coming from. Best thing to do is get in there with a paint brush and get it cleaned up and watch to see where the oil is coming from. Probly is a seal as they don't last forever. To change it you will have to pull all of the front end off so you can pull the crankshaft pully. The seal can be changed without removing the front cover but most do remove the cover to change that seal. Check the crankshaft well where the seal rides for a grove. You can get a speedy sleeve to repair that.
