I just got a chance to peek in on the boards. I was wondering why you unloaded so much. I figured you wanted me to repair the yellow head. I jumped on it this evening to see what it needed. It was about as gritty in the oil as I have seen. Some how it must have been running with almost no rings.
The two end valves were not seating
I see the oil pasage to the head had something broke off down inside. I flattened what ever it was with a mill cutter in a slow rpm drill and then drilled it out with a masonary bit. Same with a broken off manifold stud. retaped them all so that is ready to go.
Back in the parts washer to clean out the ports and grind the seats after a set of guides. The valve stems are scored deep from the grit in the oil. Looks like the seats can be reground unless I find something after it is cleaned up more. Valves are not going to be reuseable.
