I've got to ask, since IIRC you said you choice was the King James bible? Why, its a translation by man or men of the Latin bible of which there are competing versions. The church of England simply under the orders of a MAN simply selected from them as they chose. They skipped the apocrapha completely. But even the Latin bible has question, after all, there were competing Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic translations. It was at Nicea where the church and state came together to determine what scriptures were of God and what of man.
