Richard, rotate the tire so the stem is at the top and you won't get as much water in your gage if any. Pressure is pressure wether it's liquid or air. The air pressure in a tire with fluid & air will have the same amount of pressure in it at any area of the tire. So the tire pressure is the same for fluid or just plain air in a tire. It puts the same amount of force on the tire. It's just like a gallon of water is the same as a gallon of mud, just one is denser than the other.
