I've used Progressive since 1999 and my rates have never gone up, only down. Of course, when I first started with them I was in my 20's so you can only go down from there. Are you sure there wasn't some other thing raising your rates like moving to a different ZIP code? My rate was literally cut in half when I moved out of the city I was going to college in.
The reason I've stuck with them is because I like being able to log in to their website to pay the bill or change my vehicles around without having to talk with anyone. Although when I have called them, they've been OK on the phone too I guess.
