I'm not at all familiar with tractor/equipment gens, only cars and light trucks, so: The "A" and "F" were common to 6V gens (don't know about 12V, never had trouble with mine). If has no rear mounting ear, and the front double ear looks original (looks welded in pic on my machine) I'd guess eqpmt where belt adjustment is by moving fan (auto systems I've seen, even where belt adjustment is by moving fan, gen has mounting ears at both ends for solid mounting. Where gen moved to adjust belt, has one front earhole for slotted bracket arm, not two). Pop off insp band; if three brush, one adjustable, probably older 6V; 2 brush generally later 6V, don't know about 12V. Four brush: outside my experience. Front pulley also doesn't look automotive to me, at least not 30's up. Fascinating.
