Ironic, Nancy asked those questions, same ones I had a few weeks ago, though I kinda knew what the markers were for. I just got a crash course on a 7000 JD planter, also repaired and re-set one of the marker arms 2x, one on his has been bent up but good, these guys must get too darned close to the hedgerows or something. I helped him wring out the monitor, had some bugs with the lights, one set of connections and had to brush out the tube to clear the electric eye, and I agree, the noise when it goes off is ear piercing, so is the price of corn seed, he hit a rock and spilled a nice handful out, never realized how much that seed costs, 5 ton of fertilizer was about $2500 too, I took a delivery for him on the gravity wagon, now I can see how you may only break even on that crop.
