I work at UPS, so I prefer a UPS delivery. Up here in Minnesota, if you live out in the country and are expecting a package FEDEX, they will deliver every other day, whereas UPS delivers everywhere, everyday. Yeah UPS may be a little more expensive, but you are paying for your package to get to its destination by a certain day! I have seen damaged packages, and 99% of the time its because the item was put into the box and not properly packed (ie: bubble wrap, styro p-nuts, paper). USPS ships some of its smaller items with UPS.
All in all, you are paying for SERVICE. If you pay for the cheaper shipping, then thats what you will get!
