JD Crawler Diesel, Oil is rising.

I noticed when I checked my oil the last few times it has actually came up some. It is not cloudy but I suspect diesel fuel is getting into the oil pan.
What could be the cause of this, I am new to diesels? Right now I will drain it and start with a heavy weight 40 and keep it a half a quart low. Thanks,
