G-man I also have fooled with G's my whole life and have a 1951 G that will turn right at 118HP, but its at 1485rpm because it's a little motor(517 cubic inches). I'm the guy that has sold the cams for the JD two-cylinders for the past 15 years that corrected the late intake timing at the same time lifted the valves higher, at the same time kept the duration short. Probably have 150 of the cams out there. It makes me sick to go to these NATPA pulls and see that the JDs aren't even entered in the division 4(open classes) anymore and that they usually take a thrashing when they attempt to. The cam obviously is getting moved forward in the engine. This is a terrific task along with all the other billet parts being made. There is only about one other guy in the country still committed to keeping the two-bangers competetive in this class and he's on the other side of the Mississippi out in Western Iowa. Still going to be awhile before I ever make the first pull.

The need for fabricating becomes obvious when you go to buy any of these
