Karl - I guess those GE 44-tonners were made with all sorts of engines in 'em. There was a pair that worked a gravel quarry switch yard near here when I was a kid. One had 2 Buda diesels and the other had Cummins motors. I've heard GE also used Detroit 6-71's in addition to the Cat 16000, though I never saw (nor heard!) one. Bob M
